The Renucci Hospitality House is for families of pre- and post-admission patients requiring a "home-away-from-home" that is close to the hospital. Rooms are equipped with either a queen-sized bed or twin beds. Rollaway beds and cribs are also available. There is a fee for each room, but no one will be turned away because of the inability to pay—thanks to generous donors throughout the community.

In addition to private guest rooms, the facility offers common rooms, a large kitchen and dining area, play rooms, a library, computer areas and a healing garden. Pastoral care, child life, social work and cancer support services are also available at the Renucci Hospitality House. Many area organizations serve the facility by cooking and serving an evening meal to guests.

The Renucci House also operates the Spectrum Health Concierge Service (PDF, 482KB). The service provides information on local resources to patients and family members at Butterworth and Blodgett hospitals, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Meijer Heart Center and Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion. When a loved one is ill or injured, and you’re away from home, the last thing you should worry about is finding a place to stay, eat or get around in an unfamiliar city. The comforts and conveniences of Spectrum Health’s Concierge Service will simplify your visit from your arrival until you return home. More importantly, our service will allow you to focus on your loved one(s).

Our staff can provide information on accessing the following resources:

• Local hotel and hospitality lodging, along with available discounts
• Local restaurant options
• Area leisure activities
• Transportation services between hospitals, hotel or airport
• How to access patient relations to connect to clinical resources

The Renucci Hospitality House relies on monetary gifts and contributions of time and talent to provide its services to families whose loved ones are hospitalized at Butterworth and Blodgett hospitals and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
